Mature, sawdusty American oak on the nose with aromatic macerated apricot, apple, pineapple and vanilla. The Calvados apply notes are very subtle but do give the lovely spices an apple tinge. With time some grippy tannins show along with a touch of earth.
The Calvados is a bit more noticeable on the palate with bruised apple to begin with. Mature American oak, barley, pineapple and apricot come through. Lovely citric and mineral middle with some underlying creamy oak. Long with the Calvados apple returning along with some gently gripping tannin, earthy barley and apple spice.
