Aromas of white fruit and lightly herbal peat. A touch of vanilla and crushed banana appears along with IPA malt, citrus and high toned, funky white fruit, A little fusel with developing Turkish delight and darker malt notes. A lovely, idiosyncratic nose!
Macerated fruit, barley, Lomond funk and fusel oils on the palate. Hints of earth, rose petal and intense, alcohol enhanced bitter spices. The alcohol is absolutely killing my palate but that and the funk is strangely appealing!
Water emphasises the raw distillery character, raw spices, cereal and raw Oloroso. The palate, however, is actually quite silky with nutty Olorosos, malt and malt biscuits. The funk has transformed into a savoury meatiness, and it has a finish now! Youthful, rose petal spirit and malt biscuit finish.
