Tasting Note
100% Craignan from some of their oldest vines, which are around 75 years of age, bush vines, grown on limestone
and clay soils, where Northerly Winds blow. Located on an ancient lacustrine plain from the Tertiary Era (Lutetian, 40
millions years old) there is various types of soils, dominated by lacustrine white limestones. The beautiful scenery is punctuated by lovely old mazets (tiny ancient house in the country).
An aromatic wine delivering wild blackberry aromas, with balsamic and laurel hints. Generous mouth with silky tannins. Old Carignan vines are at their best to produce a pure and elegant wine. Ideal with roasted rack of lamb, venison. Its acid backbone makes it also an ideal pairing for tajines, oriental dishes and fresh goats cheese.
