Re- Tasted: Jun 2021
A lovely nose of dark rye bread and hints of cardamom, green and black peppercorns, earth, sweet rye spices and subtle vanilla. With time some herbal rye notes appear along with some sweet liquorice and marzipan.
The palate opens with the sweet vanilla oak and grippy, dark rye. Hints of earth, liquorice, pepper and sweeter rye spice follows. A touch of rose petal, cinnamon sticks and rye bread on the middle. Long and spicy finish with a touch of bramble fruit and vanilla. It signs off with a lovely herbal rye flourish.
