A simply gorgeous nose! Showing loads of juicy, estery white fruit, pineapple, apricot and subtle biscuity/ grapey Madeira. Slightly bubblegummy with dusty barley and vanilla. Superbly balanced.
The palate opens with the mature, duty American oak along with estery apricot, pineapple, melon and apple. The Madeira grapiness comes through on the middle along with a touch of spice. Like the nose, the palate is superbly balanced, and the finish is long with lingering juicy, estery fruit, spice and a touch of dried grape.
