Domaine des Muses 2022 Cornalin Tradition
Tasting Note
Fermented and aged in stainless steel vats this homegrown red grape Cornalin could be said to be a hypothetical cross between a Cabernet Franc from the Loire and a top Pinot from Burgundy: slightly smoky with hint of red currants. It has a wonderfully bright and intense bouquet of red (cherry) and black (blackberry) fruits. On the palate, the attack is frank, mixed with a great concentration of deep fruit and lifting acidity and minerality from the alpine slopes. The finish is structured by beautiful tannins. It is a red wine which reflects the typical character of the mountains around Sierre.
