Sweet barley, malt and American oak aromas are shot through with some lovely dark rye notes. Quite herbal and slightly mentholated with a touch of corn oil and subtle botanicals. With time the oak becomes quite toasted and smoky.
The palate opens with the lightly oiled corn, sweet creamy oak, toasted spices, malt and sweet juniper. Again slightly mentholated on the middle with a sliver of herbal rye. Very well balanced with a long, flavourful finish and lingering mentholated notes.
Description
Ode means old style which must contain at least 15% malt.
